Rachel Bhaskar

Rachel Bhaskar is a Senior; she is a zealous and passionate writer. She enjoys reading and analyzing texts collectively as well as writing creatively and independently.

 

 

Zena Salameh

A long-time student of the American School of Brasilia, it’s Zena Salemeh’s first year in Journalism class. She is always willing to improve her writing skills and  to challenge herself. After some assignments, she has noticed her strengths and weaknesses. Now her main goal is to learn to write in a more informative and formal way. She is having a great experience as a fledgling journalist and is enjoying the chance to discover herself as a writer.

 

 

Marcos Buitrago

Marcos Buitrago is an international student raised in a Spanish family and has traveled around the world. He has lived in Guatemala, Mozambique, Spain, the U.S. before Brazil. He speaks four languages and he is able he is an interesting, intelligent and funny writer that feels you should make people laugh while you tell them the news.

 

 

Borja Buitrago

Borja Buitrago is a teenager who has traveled around the world. He has lived in various countries were he has learned 4 languages. Borja was born in Guatemala, and now he is 14 years old living in Brazil. Borja is at the American school of Brasilia, he likes the environment and the community, he has also joined the soccer team, and now he has entered communication were he is one of the Candango staff members.

 

 

Maria Eduarda Negri

Maria Eduarda Negri is a young Brazilian who has always been fascinated by the beauty of words. Sinc early on, she has built a strong passion for reading and writing, both in English and Portuguese, and now Spanish, which she is learning. New to journalism, she is loving the experience offered by EAB.

 

 

Felipe Serpa

Felipe Serpa is a senior at the American School of Brasilia and enjoys writing about controversial topics. He was born in Brasilia and has lived here all his life. He has traveled to various regions of the world and integrates cultural individualities in his work. His writing style is adaptable to many different issues and involves the reader in writing—from the comical to the polemic.

 

 

Maria Eduarda Oliveira

Maria Eduarda Oliveira is a sophomore taking her first Communications course. She speaks 3 languages and has always enjoyed reading and writing and hopes to sharpen her English skills while contributing to her community in a positive way.

 

 

Maria Paula Guimarães

Maria Paula Guimarães has always enjoyed writing, not only for school essay but also as a hobby, often writing to express own feelings. She entered the Communications course with the bjective of increasing her writing shills as well as make a difference to her community, EAB.

 

Luc Fagerberg

Luc Fagerberg enjoys traveling and encountering as well as studying new cultures when ever possible. He has a positivist outlook on life that he incorporates in his writing to share his “glass half full” vision of the world. Despite this fact, Luc does not embellish and adorn the truth to fit his optimistic philosophy, but rather presents the facts as they are.

 

 

Nicholas Spyrou

Nicholas Spyrou is a 14 year old teenager from Cyprus who has lived and visited several countries. From a young age he has lived in Ceria, Greece and as he became older he visited the other side of the world. This included America and now Brazil. He speaks two languages, Greek and English and is leraning Portuguese.
